Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account data: name, email, profile photo, @handle, country and bio.
• Content you post: requests, posts (including the place you pick), listings, offers, photos, comments, chats, reviews and reports.
• Device data: push-notification tokens, browser type, and your approximate country (derived from your IP address by our network provider) to suggest the right feed.
• Your precise location, only when you tap “Near me” while picking a place. It is sent to Google Maps Platform to find nearby places and is not stored by Shopper2U.
• Usage and advertising data collected through cookies by Google Analytics and Google AdSense.

How we use it

• To run the service: showing your posts, matching requests with trips, sending notifications, and enabling chat.
• To keep the community safe: moderation, fraud prevention and enforcing our terms.
• To improve Shopper2U and show ads that keep it free.

What's public

Your name, handle, photo, bio, country, requests, posts and the places you pick, listings, comments and reviews are public. Offers on listings are visible only to you and the shopper. Chats are visible only to the participants (and to moderators when investigating a report).

Who we share it with

• Service providers that host and operate Shopper2U, including Google Firebase (data stored in the United States), Google Maps Platform (place search) and Google AdSense. We do not sell your personal data.
• Authorities where required by law.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active, and delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period after you ask us to close your account, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

You can access, correct or ask us to delete your personal data, and withdraw consent for notifications at any time. Email hello@shopper2u.com.
